How you can help
Leave a gift in your will
A bequest is a gift that lasts longer than a lifetime…
If we are to build on the amazing legacy we have already created together, we have to prepare and plan for the future. Together with our supporters, we have achieved a great deal since we began in 1989. But recurring droughts and lack of opportunities for those in hard to reach rural areas continues to keep Ethiopia’s people amongst the most vulnerable in the world. This means that Ethiopiaid and the valuable work of our partners will continue to make a difference for years to come.
We have to put in place now the structures that are necessary to deliver permanent change to the lives of some of the poorest people in the world. Gifts in Wills are absolutely central to this strategy. They provide us with the security we need to plan ahead confidently and effectively to ensure that we make the greatest difference to the people of Ethiopia in the most meaningful and sustainable ways we can.
Even a small gift in your Will can change the fortunes of people living in need. The gifts we receive come in all shapes and sizes for all kinds of reasons. But whatever the amount every gift in a Will can change lives. The people of Ethiopia are vibrant, dynamic and determined to lift themselves out of poverty. A gift in your Will is a promise; a promise that Ethiopiaid, along with our incredible partners, will be there by their side long into the future.

Building a relationship with Ethiopiaid is a way to let your staff and customers know that you care about those affected by poverty. It shows that your company takes its social responsibility seriously and can enhance your reputation with your key audiences.
Partnering with Ethiopiaid can put your company in a unique position. We are a small organisation and have a direct and close relationship with our Ethiopian partners. As such the possibility to become a key supporter of life changing projects in Ethiopia and the commensurate good will this can generate amongst your staff and customers can add huge value to your organisation.
Gifts can be either one-off contributions or you can decide to fund our work over a number of years, giving you the opportunity to see the impact of your companies support on the lives of those benefiting from our work. There is also the opportunity to support an Ethiopiaid event here in Australia and help us to promote the work of our partners and gather new support for our work.

Teff: A small grain doing big things
Did you know that you can eat well AND make a difference to the lives of women, children and families living in Ethiopia. How's that for a win-win situation?
Let us introduce you to teff. A small supergrain doing big things. As the tiniest grain in the world it can be easy to overlook, but teff is far tougher than it seems, thriving where other grains don’t. A staple in the Ethiopian diet, teff has been consumed for over 3000 years. A superfood, just one 100g serving of teff will give you 24% of your RDI of protein, 29% fibre, 40% iron, 17% calcium. Throw in huge levels of magnesium, manganese, zinc and many other essential minerals, you will see the benefits far outweigh this tiny grain's size.
So where do we come in? Our friends at Teff Tribe believe that small things matter, and they are committed to doing their bit to give back to the Ethiopian communities where the tiny supergrain originated. That's why 2% of Teff Tribe's gross sales are donated directly to Ethiopiaid Australia to fund life-saving obstetric fistula surgeries, get more children into schools, find loving homes for vulnerable children, provide income generating opportunities for single mothers and to help women say "no more" to harmful traditional practices.
Eat good, feel good, do good. It doesn't get much much better than that. #smallthingsmatter
