Valerie Browning AM in Australia

In March, Ethiopiaid welcomed Valerie Browning to Australia. Valerie is the program director and co-founder of our long-term partner, Afar Pastoralist Development Association (APDA), and has dedicated her life to improving the lives of the people of Afar, where she has lived for nearly forty years.

Valerie was eager to meet with some of the wonderful Australians who support her work in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. She spoke candidly about the difficulties facing the people of Ethiopia at present, and how her organisation is facing the challenges with fierce determination.

A deep thank you to all of you who came along to meet Valerie and hear her speak. It means a great deal to her to meet the people who care so much about her work and the wellbeing of people in Ethiopia.
